Many factors affect catalytic perfromance. Over time the catalytic conversion rate goes down and selectivity towards certain VOC’s may completely disappear. Catalytic VOC abatement systems tend to run without problems for years, even though the catalyst ages continuously due to among other things  thermal degradation.

While this degradation is slow, high emissions can arise very suddenly and require immediate action. At Noxic, we advice  to regularly check the function of your catalyst.
